Replace P&U line at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station
This 3.5 million dollar project included the replacement of the
overhead distribution system at CCAFS with an underground duct bank
system throughout the industrial area. The installation included over 5
miles of underground duct bank manholes, VFI’s and feeders within the
ducts. The Air Force put out the requirement for this project and SGS
made award through the IDIQ contracting method.
As you can see in the photos Safety and Quality are paramount to our
organization. Starting with the dig box used to set the manholes along
with well points to keep our men safe and then notice cutbacks on the
trench for the duct installation. In terms of quality we have included
photos of a manhole that contains 16 15kv circuits; this manhole is
typical of the product that our staff generates.
